CREEC PARTNERS ON ENERGY FOR ACCESS DESIGN CHALLENGE
The key factors contributing to Africa’s soaring energy demand are both the ever-growing population and the continent’s accelerating economic growth. CREEC is committed to carrying out applied research to find new alternative energy solutions to fit the different needs for people in off grid areas.
It is this commitment that has inspired CREEC’s partnership with Makerere University on an Energy for Access Design Challenge. From the students that applied, 18 were selected and in three groups they have been tasked to innovate an energy solution that can match a specific energy need. We are very expectant and we look forward to sharing the results from the enthusiastic innovators.
