We had the incredible honor of hosting a vibrant group of young innovators for our first Innovation Workshop at CREEC Makerere! The workshop was a deep dive into knowledge-sharing and motivation, featuring empowering insights from Hon. (Prof) Robinah K. Nanyunja and Dr. Mary Suzan Abbo. Their words laid a strong foundation for growth and inspired a new wave of innovation in the engineering field.

A special highlight was hearing from Prof. Nosayaba Evbuomwan, PhD, who introduced the transformative Design Function Deployment (DFD) approach in product development. This collaborative method emphasizes capturing the client’s requirements early on, converting them into clear design specifications to optimize the design phase. Unlike traditional design-build methods, DFD enhances client alignment and minimizes costly adjustments by refining designs before implementation.
