Introduction
The Centre for Research in Energy and Energy Conservation (CREEC) is a not-for-profit organization for research, training,consultancy and testing located at and working closely together with the College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology (CEDAT, the former Faculty of Technology) within Makerere University. The centre is registered as a company limited by guarantee and not having a share capital.The Centre was founded in 2001 by Dr. Izael Pereira da Silva and obtained the status of project under the Dean of the former Faculty of Technology. For practical reasons the organization was legally registered in 2010 as a company limited by guarantee without share capital.
